Friends of BJP invites questions for meetings on Saturday with Mr Arun Jaitley in Mumbai & Pune.
In addition, to impromptu questions during these meetings, we want to obtain maximum interaction with the senior BJP leadership.
Therefore, we will try to collect questions, club them in groups, obtain answers and send replies back.

i’am from andhrapradesh.from my childwood onwards i am actively participating in r.s.s programs and also to in b.j.p .my queston is that why the national leaders in b.j.p are not activley participating the programs in a.p when comparing to other states.and also why the nda government has not built the rama temple in ayodhya .
If the BJP is really serious about India’s progress, can I know what it is doing on the three issues below?
Education: Can you let us know what the BJP did in the field of primary education from 1998-2004? And what are the plans if elected into power in 2009? I am not asking for anything much. Leave the IITs, IIMs etc. alone. Stop bothering about colleges, as we already have enough of them in India. Let the private players run them for now. Can the education ministry under the BJP focus on providing primary education (upto class IV) for every Indian? That is not asking for much. And literacy just for the sake of it (i.e. writing your name in one language) is not enough. I believe a person is literate only if (s)he has completed primary education
Women’s empowerment: Let me start with an example. India gained independence in on 15/08/1947. South Korea gained Independence on 15/08/1946. Look at S. Korea today. The policies there have been extremely woman-friendly and I have seen numerous women entrepreneurs in Korea. Empower the Indian women and pave the path to progress. I want to know BJP’s plans in this area
Defence: We have neglected our defence forces for too long. We need to have accelerated purchase and induction of key defence equipment to equip our defence forces enough! Further, there is an urgent need to address the pay disparity between the military and the civilian govt. servants and between the military and the para-military forces, as the BDR incident shows. Next, even-though the DRDO has made some fine equiments, the armed forces do not accept them as such (like the Arjun tank). Further, lots of DRDO projects still leave a lot to be desired. Afterall, a strong defence mechanism is the only way we can save ourselves external agression in whatever forms! What is the BJP’s plan to address the defence issues?
Question1. Today we see corruption as part and parcel in government offices. If anything wrong is done to someone, in current system victim needs to take lead and approach authorities for justice. As a result, victim himself sits down silently and become a facilitator for corruption.
Will BJP take some concrete steps to make the system time bound for disposal of applications in government offices and if some application is not disposed with in the time limit, action should be self initiated. Something like self correcting system.
Question2. When BJP was in power, the then HRD minister Shri Murli Manohar Joshi had taken many good descision. One good descision was the reduction in IIM fee to make education approachable to common people.
Currently BJP rules in many states, so will the central BJP direct their state governments to stop commercialisation of higher education and ensure check on it ?
What will be the national policy of BJP to stop commercialisation of education so as to make it approachable to common people when it comes to power in central ?
Question3. There is very less percentage of youths in our country who get higher education, rest discontinue education at school level/ high school/ higher secondary level due to many reasons. Child labour is one of them because source of earning is very limited in many families and that is why these children are forced to work
Will BJP take some concrete steps like “earn while studying” to bring back these youths to continue their education program ?

I have two questions for you:
1. One of the worst legacies of the Congress/Left/Caste based parties rule has been the culture of entitlement politics. State funding and resources are distributed as largess based on caste, regional or other group based affinities without any consideration of efficiency, larger national interest or merit. One of its ugliest manifestations is the system of reservations, another one was the erstwhile License-Permit Raj which still lingers. Would the BJP, if voted to power, take steps towards a more meritocratic system based on true equality of all citizens?
2. Is your party taking any concrete steps to ensure that educated youth have a larger say in national affairs? Specifically, is your party going to give an opportunity to educated youth (without family backing) to contest in the forthcoming elections?

Atleast after I started voting, I feel that Goals which are very pleasant to hear and imagine have been the content of every political party’s Manifest including B.J.P. But, later we have been convinced by the statements that those were just Air bubbles which just got a genuine reason to blow up and thus…….. you know what happens later.
Sir, I feel blaming the Government for not fulfilling all our petty needs will be a foolishness until & unless we (Citizens) participate actively in the Governance.
So, I would like to know your view on this.

Dear sir,
I am from Mumbai. I see BJP is under media attack (news papers as well as TV channels)almost every day. I dont see any friendly media agency, at least in Mumbai, giving proper coverage to BJP view-points. Also, there is never any fitting responses from BJP-sources to such media attacks. Why cant BJP field persons like Arun Shourie or Murali Manohar Joshi who are very capable of handling media attcks? Often BJP fields persons who cannot even speak proper Englis or Hindi. Lack of a friedly media agency in Mumbai,the city which makes opinion for the entire country,is hurting BJP.But BJP is not,it appears to me,even aware of this problem.Is this what BJP has ahieved in the period since its existance?
P.S.: Why BJP tolerates leaders like Jaswant Singh who defends himself for his folly of accompanying the Kandahar terrorists or spikes Advaniji as also BJP on the issue of parakrama (mobilisation of troops post parliament attack)? Or for sabotaging Vasundhara Raje’s victory chances? God save BJP from such leades.
Dont you think that Action Speaks Louder than Words? Its high time that India is governed by old caps we require young& fresh blood for better INDIA………………. Would be more than happy to be part of the Party.How could I do the same

1.Unless corruption at grass root level is sought to be eradicated, Common man is not going to overwhelmingly support any political party enthusiastically? What is BJP’s agenda for this?
2. Why BJP has not highlighted the latest CAG report on Bharat Nirman and such other schemes where the Government resources have been transferred to NGOs autonomous bodies etc., without proper tranparency?
Most non-BJP parties and pseudo secularists call BJP a communal party openly.
You being an eminent lawyer, why cant BJP file a case against such parties and leaders and get the court to define communalism. Hence prove that BJP is secular and once and for all put a stop to allegations of being communal by such people.
sir . . i don’t have any question rather u can call it as advice. BJP is in power in many states, and if u people can’t ban news channels like CNN IBN, NDTV, AAJ TAK, STAR NEWS. . We will surely loose this elections sir. Because our india has many literate who r (illiterates) who blindly believe in these news channels. So please i request u whole heartedly , please ban these channels . Or else it will be impossible for us to make it to lok sabha this time.

dr Ambumani Ramadoss is after banning smoking and alcohol.good but wat i feel as a doctor and a responsible citizen our health minister should focus more on indiscriminate spitting whic can spread more diseases than smoking.if u visit any public places like railway stations or bus terminus or for that matter our own hospital premices you can see almost 80% of the population coming to these places spit,some because of bad habit and some for fun.most patients attending hospitals spit indiscriminately.there is risk of spread of most comminicable diseases like tuberculosis and other respiratory infections.
so i think he should take an initiative to start a health education programmes and a law to ban such bad habits which can spread deadly diseases.

I & our family are strong supporters of BJP & we are located in Mumbai & sir i want to suggest something to you which i think may bring good & favourable results for our party in the forthcoming Elections, I suggest that we must build a Door to Door or Home to Home approach in our localities we must form a group in our Area/Locality & directly communicate with people as majority of our Educated People dont Vote so unless & until we make them understand & try our hard efforts it will be difficult for us to gain FULL MAJORITY , As it requires lot of hard works & efforts but if we give it a try once & for all iam sure that BJP will gain Majority & we can also involve people in this from all fields which will be a boon & a new Image of BJP can be Re-Created as none of the parties might have developed this type of approach & we can also listen to issues of people & try to sort out the same.
So its difficult but not impossible iam sure if all educated people/literate people come out for voting in favour of BJP we will gain majority , since Elections are to be held in Vacations so it will be a big problem as all will move out on there vacations & we can convince people to give a Non-Corrupt Governance as in Gujarat through which Normal People lives are made Easy & if this is done once then BJP can rule for a long term , but we must bring the change is for sure for our better tommorrow. As there are Positive & Negative aspects in all but we must try to change it & definately we can..

The Sangh missed the South Indian Revolution of 1967 electionsand the post period, whereas The Congress adjusted itself suitably to this day. The BJP also failed in the post JP period to evolve a distinct alternative political philosophy, except chanting the name of Lord Rama every now and then. What exactly are the tenets of Ram Rajya, of our ancient thinkers, independence strugle leaders, S.P.Mukherji, post independence leaders like Rajaji, Patel, Azad, J.P.Narain, Periaar, C.N.Annadurai, Kamaraj, T.Prakasam , Morarji. Can!t your genius combine the salient points from diferring political,cultural social philosophies and presenta coherent pragmatic, but principled and universally relevant, party/movement plank, instead of every now and then chanting Ram Mandir slogans, which, for all practical purposes, are not the day to day concerns of a huge majority of people and which ultimately only results in complete alienation of your party from a very significant section of the people and which you cannot afford to ignore.PLEASE DO SOMETHING TO HELP BJP SHED ITS PAST BAGGAGE OF IMAGE AND AQUIRE A NEW VIBRANT,VALUE BASED, MODERN IMAGE, TO HELP KINDLE THE FIRE OF A BROADBASED MOVEMENT CAPABLE OF INVOLVING THE YOUTH OF OUR BELOVED COUNTRY.
What is BJP’s stand on Reservations?
If BJP is going to oppose Reservations or is going to keep ambigious stand on reservations no SC, ST, OBC is going to vote BJP even if they favour or prefer BJP.
What is Hindutva or Bhartiyata and does it include Indian Muslims?
Hindutva needs to be exlained properly. My understanding is it means Indian Culture.
My Dear Arun, The following questions are for you to ponder over while framing programmes for your party;
1)Will you consider a socially relevant reservation policy, women empowerment policy, religious,linguistic minorities policy and try to achieve maximum practical consensus without any coersion whatsover.
2)Will you consider evolving a clear economic philosohy which addresses India!s needs, liberalism with human face and give it the name !Indianomics!
3)Will you consider evolving implementable reforms in Administration, Tax,defence, internal security, Police, justice, labour. agriculture, village,taluk and district level administration
4)Will you consider adding !Sarve Janaha Sukhino Bhavnthuhu! to !Bharatmata Ki Jay!, !Jai Hind!
and perhaps play tapes of Sare Jahanse Achcha to project BJP!s secularist credentials among sections, which rightly or wrongly, but unfortunately, are very much alienated from BJP and which BJP can ignore only at very cost to itself. You have to develop the synthesizer image for the sake of BJP and the Country.
5)Will BJP participate more in celebrations surrounding national,statelevel, district,taluk,village level sports events and successes so as to identify itself with the youth.

THE BJP should promise at least one full session of the parliament, both houses, in any one of the southern metros. The BJP should announce specific allocations of funds and a specific timebound plan for introducing at least one sitting of the Parliament in a southern metro.With modern technology, this is possible now and there is no need to shift secretariat Hqrs etc.

but I am 200 percent sure this can never be achieved until the blast of population is controlled. we are 1.14 crore and very soon will cross 130 and 150 but there no concrete policy to control this population growth which is the root

I am a immensely surprised when I read that you started off as a student leader, who also was an academic achiever. Sir, you are both a lawyer & an electoral strategist.
1)MANIFESTO:I would like you to include in your manifesto, not only issues badly handled by the present government, but also your (the party’s) position on such issues & thought out solutions keeping in line with the party’s idelogy.
2)COMMUNICATION: I also would like you to distribute the party’s manifesto to the common man thro’ the internet. In rural areas, short booklets/pamphlets with the bare essentials & highlights of local issues should be issued to villagers. Please minimise usage of posters.
3)As a Final year medical student, I want to raise the issue of healthcare. We should study the socialist medical system of Canada, which virtually makes healthcare costs a pittance for families. We should, with insurance companies work out a solid plan of providing Healthcare to the rural poor, because as THE MAHATAMA said, “INDIA LIVES IN HER VILLAGES”. A plan to make this system co-exist with the present system of Private Healthcare, while gradually phasing it out must be implemented …

My dear Arun, I think the BJP flopped in framing a strategy for Delhi and Rajasthan electiions and lost a great opportunity for consolidating itself. Vasundhara should have been replaced at least one year before elections, to gain lost ground, as does the Congress in similar circumstances latest example being Maharashtra. Shri.Malhotra was definitely not the right choice for the moment. Vis-a-vis Smt. Dixit, a candidate representing the generation next, would have won hands down, given the adverse background the Congress suffered.You will have to strike immediately a suitable party policy how to react to media, particularly electronic media. Almost all of them are openly anti BJP. Please consider why you should legitimise them by giving appearances.Without appearing to be anti/media, without caring too much for the media imagemaking, can!t your leaders politely avoid appearances and avoid legitimising the otherwise onesided media. You need to arrive at a policy after a thorough discussion in your central and state level party committees and you need to do this quickly.
It looks like we don’t have any plan to counter or at-least be defensive against the anti-BJP media.
Why shouldn’t we boycott both NDTV/IBN while giving active participation and promotion of other media outlets. This will surely bring NDTV and IBN to the negotiating table and bring down to their knees. This shall also give people an idea of how pathetic they are, as there are some people believing them to be neutral and impartisan.
This is very very crucial for the elections.

During my Teens and early 20s I had actively campaigned for BJP . After I completed my post graduation from India came to USA for doing Masters in IT in the year 2000 and later started working here. I come from the Secunderabad / Hyderabad region of Andhra Pradesh .
I am very good at analyzing things and I have very decent PR skills with a very good command over Hindi , English , Telugu and Tamil . I can also understand Marathi and Kannada to a little extent as I am married to a Maharastian/Kannadiga girl .
For the last 20 yrs I am following each and every election in India right from the BJP’s dramatic rise to 85 Lok Sabha seats in 1989 and Advaniji’s immense contribution as the President of the BJP during those years . I understand the Coalition Dharma , the vote share of each Social and Religious group in various Lok Sabha constituencies across India and also the influence of each regional party in various parts of the country . I would be able to generate decent funds for your election campaign if given a chance
Arunji, though I am living in USA for the last 9 years I am very closely connected with all the happenings in India and the pulse of the nation, as I keep in touch with people of India across a wide Social and Economic Spectrum of our society .Moreover during my teens and early 20s I had actively campaigned for BJP as a volunteer. its already more than 3 months after 26/11 attack on mumbai.[there are many other attacks too viz.. bangalore serial blasts, surat....etc]yet govt is not taking seriously…I think we need NDA govt with POTA imposed to solve this.

I think BJP still needs to work hard for winning LS seats in state like Maharashtra, Rajasthan & UP. We should campign aggressively in these states as other parties are strong over there. Every supporter of BJP should take up responsibilty to spread the message to masses around. We all should meet regular and decide the stratergy that how our messages are converted into votes. In every city there should be regular meetings of frnds of BJP. What do you think of this idea????

Bhadohi vidhan-sabha by election has been passed. Result is on 1st march.
I m recomending all these facts after election & political observation. Till now I was engaged in vidhan-sabha bye-election.
Consider these facts very sincerely & seriously.
Bhadohi-LS bjp candidate has been appointed on tactful inter-party politics recommendation(inter-party politics) of local strong “BSP hand” of bhadohi. Born from BJP, in past time, for self-intesrest, this “BSP hand” has used his own BJP resources in order to add one more BRAHMIN candidate in BHADOHI-LS contestant. Now there are three major contestant. According to caste-equation, Two of these three contestant are BRAHMIN & one is BIND by caste. Morever, it is more interesting or tragedic to find the intension behind the allotment of second BRAHMIN candidate by BJP,who is external or has been imported from “GHAZIPUR,U.P, failed M.L.A” career but not even from “BHADOHI,U.P, failed M.L.A” career. Now obviously, as per the situation, LS fighting is in favour of SP candidate( Shri. Ramrati Bind, age 70). Reading above facts, it is now very logical to feel the situation of “BJP SUICIDE” in bhadohi LS fighting.
By using good intelligence, anybody can explore the extreme & un-expected factual relation between above mentioned “BSP hand”, state level bjp executive officers & even Shri mahendra pandey (bhadohi bjp LS candidate). Born from BJP, this “BSP hand” has been gifting good business to state level bjp executive officers and even Shri mahendra pandey ji.
The whole selection-process of Bhadohi BJP LS contestant had been hi-jacked by this “BSP Hand”, for his own local self-interest inter-party politics.
All the data or details supplied by bjp district & state level to CENTRAL-BJP had been fraudly manipulated to show the Brahmin-majority area, while ignoring the fact that one strong, fresh multi-millionaire BSP candidate (Businessman Shri Suuryamani Tripathi) is alrealy playing on LS fighting. Pls. pay yr. spl. Attention here that this personality(Businessman Shri Suuryamani Tripathi) had feeded and promoted above “BSP hands’s” politics in past from background. But now in present there is no tunning between these old friend and trying to overlap or competent to each other, even being from same bsp party. Above “BSP hand” is not accepting Shri Surymani tripathi’s political entrance & trying to fail it by, promoting or neutralizing, additional external, weak, Brahmin face of local bhadohi area. Under this conspiracy, Your state executive officers had put bhadohi LS seat in “C” category and using it for their personal politics obligation and another side they r saying that it is BRAHMIN majority area. How? It is justified that
LS seat, having 3 non-bjp party Brahmin MLA plus one strong, fresh multi-millionaire Brahmin BSP LS candidate, will be productive for BJP in reference to Brahmin majority seat(so called).
Sarcasticaly , one can find regarding LS figthing that BSP has put “BOFORCE TANK”, SP has put “ROCKET LAUNCHER” but BJP has put pistol to fight LS or MISSION 2009. How it is possible?
Why this seat has been categorized as “C” class, when here BJPian Shri virendra singh has been won two times as MP & another period as second fighter. Ex BJP MP Virendra sing had to leave here due to being external candidate in bhadohi sense by here’s local people.
Try to understand the role of public, land bjp workers in allotment of bjp bhadohi candidate. In past under bhadohi LS seat was also containing 4 MLAs with BLPian MP. According to latest delimitation procees of bhadohi, 33% of population is forward class, 50% backwards, 25% sc/st. In addition to it reason behind all of these creative & positive complaints is that you were having the chance of “WIN” this seat by one local, fresh, young, dynamic, socialated vote bank, multi-millionaire,characterful qualified contestant, whose claim has been damaged due to inter-party politics of local politics.
U denied his claim, who made stand to your pary since last three yrs in bhadohi bjp by his talent. He did a lot of assignments & preparation to winnability factor for yr. party. By doing so, u hire officers have put yr. laxity towards yr. winnability factor. Record-WIN by your party was final by presentment of that young candidate. He could fail all the caste-equation of all other party. You cant imagine his capability because he was NEW! By local investigation you can find that Shi mahendra pandey is only fighting only for his political entertainment being on political ventilator in advance.
Denying this contestant before vidhan sabha bye-election, also made public’s aggressive-ness to defect result on 1st march, otherwise we could achieve target of v.sabha also. I also came to this soul-inspiration to writing, as being hard-core BJPian. We didn’t having representation of bjp here since long time. We r now tired. One excellent hope was there, but we missed it probably.

in the hearts of people of Tamilnadu now is the plight of Srilankan Tamils. People here feel that the congress leadership in Delhi is trying to take revenge on the tamils for the death of Shri Rajiv Gandhi .
No doubt it is an unfortunate and sad event. But it is not fair to go all out against the entire tamil race just to satisfy the ego of congress leadership .
People in Tamilnadu hope that
a change of govt. at Delhi may change the scenerio. If BJP leadership makes a firm policy statement that if they are voted to power, they will bring all these atrocities on tamils to an end - BJP will be felt very nearer to heart by all Tamilians and you can see the result in parliamentary elections.

1. I am totally fed up with this current Congress government mainly due to the lack of security we have. The Mumbai attack was the last one which left me in a state of trauma for days. I am sure only the geographical distance which separates us from the so called “jihadists” is an important safety feature we have.
1.1 If BJP forms the central government after this election, what are the proactive steps you will implement to ensure the real safety for us from these terrorists?
1.2 Will you bring back POTA law or will create a stronger one than POTA and implement it?
2. How will your Government, if elected, curb (now rapidly growing) internal terrorism?

Althouh your Q is to Mr.Jaitley let me take a shot at your statement. Haven’t you forgotten 2008 when inflation was at 13%. Hey that was not BJP govt. Just check the price of Wheat , Rice , Pulses, Potato , Samosa , Chat plate , bus/rick fare etc in 2003 and 2009. They have more than doubled. What about EMI? It was 800/1 lac for 20 year loan which went to 1200/1 lac during UPA.
About AT efforts , UPA has conceded that their home minister couldn’t perform for 4 1/2 years in countering terror and was forced to resign. Further POTA was disbanded by UPA in 2004 and reinstated in 2009. This show UPA is clueless in dealing with AT efforts. Were you more insecure in 2003 and 2009? I can guess your answer.
I don’t care who rules. But I want to be safe and secure in India. I want price of groceries to be reasonable and a low interest regime.
Mentioned prices were resultant of global circumstances & situations but not by political performance. public hadn’t cry but they self-adjusted, in manner which they are bearing for this country as like corruption,secret-governance.
now-a-days Public stand for only “AAM AADMI” who is always engaged in “ghar chalana hai yaar”.They r silent becoz of political situation. They want to be safe and secure in India. Now They don’t have any faith or expectation in any political party. They are making only turnover of available political parties to stop corrupted monopoly.
Now listen one more interesting that: these parties also know about above facts about “their political turnover” by public. That is why they don’t try to perform. They know; our turn will come to us after 2 or 3 periods without any efforts. In meanwhile these parties only blame or criticise other parties on public issues instead of their corrupted-governance of rival party.
We don’t need bore development, but firstly we indians needs “REPAIR TO SYSTEM”.

bsp chief mAYAWATI ji took action within 24hrs, by changing the future lok-sabha contestant “SURYAMANI TIWARI”. It is the victory of above mentioned “strong bsp hand” as told earlier. However it is real care of any organisation soul.
Above mentioned “BHADOHI,U.P, failed M.L.A”(gorakhnath pandey) left bjp and moved to be BSP contestant.
On another hand BJP with 14,493 votes(jamanat-jabt) is sleeping in confusion of Anti-incumbency factor for future fight, as waited for delhi from last two period.
On conclusion, i think: is there any mai-baap(mother-fater) of this party. Definitely due to ideal political thought by public, hope is always trying on BJP. This hope is not due to performance of bjp, but due to non-availability of any more good party.

Make 1 resolution as suggestion: most of NETAS BORN BY RAM-LEHER, should be consoled for rajya-sabha allotment. But for more rajy-sabha, more lok-sabha seats r reqrd. For more lok-sabh, bring local potential youngs at battle-ground.Definitely this experiment will b productive to get more lok-sabha in order to produce more rajya-sabha seat to honour NETAS launched by RAM_LEHER.NETAS launched by RAM_LEHER should be given duty of campaigning and election management.
All formation had been provided to shri RAMAPATI ji and KALRAJ JI, but i think they didn;t care becoz of their personal interest. Their role is very “doubt-ful”.
