Effective Government Spending

I might be sounding like a broken record when I always criticize the ‘popular’ schemes like “National Rural Employment Guarantee” or on-the-house loan waiving. Even a layman in economics understands that to keep the wheel of economy of a country rolling it’s very essential to keep the consumers alive. It’s often argued that, thanks to these popular schemes, India hasn’t seen the worst of the recession in the past one year. Well, I don’t accept that. That’s too short term a perspective. In reality the government has already made a deep hole in its pocket. We’ll see serious long term impacts if the government spending is not controlled.
The ongoing drama with the swine flu has shown how much vulnerable our government is when it comes to disaster management. Thank God, that the flu is still restricted to the affluent class mainly in tier one cities. Just imagine what would have happened if the flu had attacked the hinter lands of our country? Even in the few cities, the government is not capable of providing with the basic infrastructure like the testing equipment. Even the masks required as a precautionary measure are not available in the market. Government is in dire need of cash for buying the testing equipments. I know that the panic with swine flu is a little exaggerated, but still the point remains that the government is not able to spend money in the way it should have in order to tackle the situation.
India’s total sending on health is just around 5% of the GDP, out of which only one fifth is government spending. This is a ridiculous amount of money. It’s seems like a joke that Mahatma Gandhi had said, “Health is Wealth”. The demographic dividend, that every one is talking about now-a-days, would be a myth if we don’t have healthy children growing up to strong adults. Government has a great role to play.

These are just a few statistics. There are many such terrible things that we need to improve and that require serious government expenditure. I’m very sure that anyone, irrespective of his or her level of intelligence and financial background, would value the settting up of an efficient health center in his or her village than anything else. I just wonder what the government has been doing in all these aspects.

इसे ही कहते हैं कुव्यवस्था .सरकारी स्वास्थ्य क्षेत्र का स्वास्थ्य पहले से ही बिगडा हुआ है.उसपर यदि किसी बिमारी ने अचानक आक्रमण कर दिया हो तो और भी मुश्किल.जो क्षेत्र भ्रष्टाचार में गले तक डूबा हो उससे किसी भी प्रकार की आशा करना बईमानी है . जरुरत है सरकारी स्वास्थय क्षेत्र की व्यवस्था में आमूल चूल परिवर्तन लाने की .तभी यह सुधर सकता है .मुझे तो आश्चर्य यह होता है की आज के इस आईटी और तकनीकी युग में स्वास्थय क्षेत्र को सुधारने के लिए
आज के आईटी और मैनेजमेंट के होनहार प्रतिभाशाली छात्रों का सहयोग क्यों नहीं लिया जाता है ? जिससे इसकी व्यवस्था में सुधार लाया जा सके और भ्रष्टाचार पर लगाम भी .सिर्फ पैसा आबंटित करने भर से काम नहीं चलेगा .सरकारी स्वास्थय क्षेत्र में सरकार कितना भी पैसा खर्च करे ले जब तक व्यवस्था में सुधार और भ्रष्टाचार पर लगाम नहीं लगेगा तब तक कुछ नहीं हो सकता .

यसवंत सिन्हा के बारे में बीजेपी कोई भी कार्यवाही करने से बचे. कार्यवाही करने के पीछे क्या कारण है यह तो नहीं मालूम .लेकिन इतना जरुर जनता हूँ यह अपरिपक्व निर्णय पार्टी का होगा .यदि कोई बहुत बड़ी बात है , तो उनपर कार्यवाही करने के लिए पार्टी स्वतंत्र है .
बीजेपी को यसवंत सिन्हा पर कार्यवाही करने से झारखण्ड की जनता को जवाब देना पड़ सकता है .इसलिए सोच समझकर फैसला करें .
What a display of double standards by a fella.
He is cautioning that any action against Yashwant Sinha would make the party answerable to the people of Jharkhand.
What about answering the questions of Gorkhas in Darjeeling? Did you caution the party that before taking against Jaswant Singh they should answer the people of Darjeeling??
On one hand you support the action when it affects Gorkhas of Darjeeling and caution when it to affect the people of Jharkhand.

broken record is an understatement, but if you think you are the only one, it is a gross understatement.right from a beggar on the street to the Ambanis, everyone feels there is lot more desired of this country.
But does really someone care about this, as long as people are making money in politics, they will give free tv’s, free rice for 2rs, loan waivers, etc.
instead the 100000 crores spent on such schemes could have been used to train the young indian on plastic/garment/agriculture/ manufacturing. Simple right, teach to fish than giving the fish.
But who is there to listen, we keep lamenting like old woman in websites, since we have already lost interst in doing anything constructive for fear of repcursions and comitments.

भाई साहब यूँ कुछ भी बोलने से पहले थोडी बहुत इन सब बातों की समझ आपको रखनी चाहिए .Darjeeling के गोरखा बेवकूफ नहीं है की वह बीजेपी द्वारा जसवंत सिंह के खिलाफ की गयी कार्यवाही को न समझ सके की आखिर बीजेपी ने उन्हें पार्टी से क्यों निकाला .इसके लिए बीजेपी के पास गोरखालैंड की जनता को जवाब देने के लिए उचित तर्क है .गोरखालैंड की जनता मूर्ख नहीं है जैसा की आप वहां की जनता को समझ रहे हैं .रही बात यसवंत सिन्हा जी के बारे में तो जो मैंने लिखा उसका इशारा पार्टी अच्छी तरह समझती है भले आप समझे या न समझे .
Around the time we went to polls, a look at these numbers and more importantly a comparison of such numbers under both the administrations Congress and BJP, was what was most needed for the folks. A subsequent discussion would have been so good.

मैंने क्या लिखा है जरा गौर करें –”यदि कोई बहुत बड़ी बात है , तो उनपर कार्यवाही करने के लिए पार्टी स्वतंत्र है .” वर्ना झारखण्ड की जनता को जवाब देना पड़ सकता है .इसका मतलब ये हुआ की जब तक कोई बहुत बड़ी बात न हो तब तक यसवंत सिन्हा जी के खिलाफ कोई कार्यवाही न करें .
सभी बेच रहे हैं
बीजेपी पार्टी में उथल पुथल हो या न हो लेकिन मीडिया में लगता है बीजेपी में घट रही घटनाओं को लेकर उथल पुथल जरुर मची हुई है .आखिर मीडिया भी बेचारी क्या करे .किसी भी घटना को जब तक विवादास्पद नहीं बना लेती तब तक इस खबर को बेच नहीं सकती . इसलिए ख़बरों के धंधेबाज इस खबर को विवादास्पद बनाकर बेच रहे हैं .आखिर उनका ये धंधा जो ठहरा .बेचो भई — सभी बेच रहे हैं जसवंत सिंह अपनी अविश्वसनीय ,आधारहीन विवादास्पद किताब पाकिस्तान में बेच रहे हैं भारत में पता नहीं यह किताब कितनी बिक रही है .आखिर मीडिया अपना पित पत्रकारिता (YELLOW JOURNALISM)का चरित्र कैसे बदल सकती है .इसलिए वो भी इन दिनों बीजेपी की खबरों को बेच रही है .
Honestly, LKA needs to go. His stay is hurting the party badly. Did he realize it or not only limited few in the BJP knows it ?. We need BJP to become strong and the only way is to remove this LKA , Rajnath and replace them with a new people from RSS.
Your concern is truly welcome! But I am not sure whether the author disagrees with schemes such as NREGA in principle or on implementation. If it is on implementation - I, for one, stand shoulder to shoulder. But if it’s on principle, sorry we part ways here. Schemes such as NREGA are supposed to ensure some minimum level of subsistence to the POOREST OF THE POOR…..just some food for thought…………By nationality, Indians were the biggest depositors at Swiss Banks last year- USD 1.4 trillion almost as large as our whole economy. Where is all this money coming from if not from exploiting resources - natural, state, human without any concern for the starving masses!
I hear people say a lot of thingsabout LKA, but my question is does anyone parallel ABV or LKA in stature? They look like the only people who can extract any sort of patience and commitment from the party cadre. Even senior politicians think a few times before blaming them. Leadership is such a heiry issue. You want someone strong enough to lead, extract commitment, but you also want diverse opinions to be raised. Congress suffered from this issue a number of years ago, before they eventually decided to back to Gandhis. Even now, without the Gandhis congress would probably be in a similar situation.
In anycase, BJP has to show signs of improvement and do it like ASAP. Assembly elections are approaching…..

Being a resident of Bihar I would like to share some information about Tarway.
Krishna Tarway is the CEO of M/s Tarway Pulverising Works, Jhumaritalaiya, Jharkhand. His business is of being a manufacturer and expoter of mica such as mica flakes, mica scraps, mica powder, raw mica etc. with a turnover of around four crores of rupees or one million us dollars. The company was established in 1976 and employs around 100 jharkhandis.
It is obvious being a local mica man he would require Yashawant Sinha to grow his business.
So, he is cautioning BJP of the consequences if they act against Yashawant Sinha who seems to be his mentor coming handy to strike business deals.
UPA would be requested to take note of the fact and enquire if Yashwant Sinha is utilizing his position of MP to play a middleman in business deals of this company. Is he earning any cut-money for settling any underhand illegal deals?
A demand for a thorough probe would be placed before appropriate forum in Congress party.

We also speak that healthy women can produce a healthy child.
we have to be concerned about our health, with out our quadination with health department we cannot take care of our community.
now we are having members( both men/ boys and women/ girls) of BJP/RSS/VHP/ABVP in each village. once a week the can meet seprately or togeather and discuss various health problems.
when ever there are more cases (5) of same type they can inform higher athorities and make sure that you are heared.
they can ask ANM, any health worker to join their meeting and give some information about health and common disease .
all the pregnant mothers should under go checkup
as advertised in T.V. etc..
Yes Men and women above 40-45 yrs should undergo a routine check up once a year and of course when emergency.
most of the government hospitals in village are haveing qualified doctor, have faith in them and if one do not get good responce than he can go to distric hospital.
we can get what we want but we have to make an effort.
